At the 2024 Oscars, Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling, who played Kitty Oppenheimer and Ken in “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie,” respectively, took the stage to present the award for Best Stunt Performance.

“Barbenheimer Rivalry”

Gosling opened with a playful jab: “I’m glad we can finally put this Barbenheimer rivalry aside.”

Blunt responded with a sharp quip: “And it turns out it wasn’t much of a rivalry, so…”

“Oppenbarbie” vs. “Barbenheimer”

Gosling then took a dig at “Oppenheimer’s” success: “I think I figured out why it’s called Barbenheimer and not Oppenbarbie… You’re on the tail end because you rode Barbie’s coattails all summer.”

Blunt retorted, “Thanks for ‘Kensplaining’ that, Mr. ‘I need to paint my abs on to get nominated.'”

Upcoming Collaboration

The playful banter between Gosling and Blunt hinted at their upcoming chemistry in the film “The Fall Guy.”
