Samsung is giving its voice assistant, Bixby, a major AI boost. According to Samsung’s Executive Vice President Won-Joon Choi, the company is investing in “generative AI and LLM (large language model) tech” to enhance Bixby’s capabilities.

What to Expect

It’s not yet clear when the AI update will be released or which devices will get it. However, Samsung has been hinting at Bixby’s AI upgrade since last year.

Bixby’s History

Since its launch in 2017, Bixby has been a part of various Galaxy devices, including mainstream phones and budget-friendly options like the A-series and Galaxy Flip. While Bixby’s current capabilities are limited, Samsung hopes that the AI upgrade will significantly expand its functionality.
