What is Connections?

Connections is a new word game from the New York Times where you have to find the common connection between four words.

How to Play

  • Each puzzle has 16 words divided into four categories.
  • Find the connection between the words in each category.
  • Correctly matching all four words in a category removes them from the board.
  • You get up to four mistakes before the game ends.
  • You can rearrange and shuffle the board to make it easier to spot connections.
  • Each category is color-coded: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple.

  • Yellow: Things at a stadium

  • Green: Camera manufacturers
  • Blue: Italian demonyms
  • Purple: Words with rock bands hidden in them
