Connections, the latest word game from the New York Times, has become a social media sensation. The game challenges players to find the common thread between four words.

What is Connections?

Connections is a daily word game where players have to group four words that share something in common. Each puzzle has 16 words divided into four categories, such as book titles, software, or country names. Players can rearrange and shuffle the words to make it easier to spot the connections.

How to Play Connections

  1. Identify the Categories: Each group of words is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple.
  2. Find the Common Thread: Look for the commonality between the four words in each category. It could be anything from the type of object to the action they represent.
  3. Group the Words: Once you’ve found the common thread, group the words accordingly. If you get all four words correct, they’ll be removed from the board.

  4. Use Hints: If you’re stuck, you can use hints to help you find the connections.
  5. Share Your Results: Once you’ve solved the puzzle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
