What is Connections?

Connections is the latest word game from the New York Times that’s all about finding the common thread between words. It’s like Wordle, but with four words instead of one.

How to Play

  • You’ll see 16 words on the board, divided into four categories.
  • Each category has a color code: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple (hardest).
  • Find the common thread between the four words in each category.
  • If you get all four words correct, they’ll disappear from the board.
  • You have four mistakes before the game ends.
  • You can rearrange the board and shuffle the words to make it easier to find connections.

Today’s Categories

  • Yellow: Chatting
  • Green: Female animals
  • Blue: Palindromes (words that read the same forwards and backwards)
  • Purple: First letters of planet names

Today’s Answers

  • Yellow: GAB, JAW, YAK, YAP
  • Green: COW, DOE, EWE, HEN
