Sometimes, a screenshot just won’t cut it. If you want to show off a new app or share a lengthy conversation, screen recording is the way to go. Here’s how to do it on your iPhone in a few easy steps:

1. Add Screen Recording to Control Center

  • Head to Settings > Control Center and tap the plus sign to add the Screen Recording tool.

2. Open Control Center

  • On newer iPhones, swipe down from the top right corner.
  • On older iPhones with a home button, swipe up from the bottom.

3. Start Recording

  • Tap the Screen Recording button (the circle with a recording symbol).
  • You’ll get a three-second countdown before recording starts.
  • A red dot at the top of the screen indicates that recording is in progress.

4. Capture Your Video

  • Navigate to what you want to record.
  • Everything you do on your iPhone will be captured.

5. Stop Recording

  • Tap the red dot at the top of the screen.
  • Then, tap Stop to end the video.

6. Find and Edit Your Recording

  • Your recording will be automatically saved to your Photos app.
  • You can edit it like any other video, including cutting, cropping, or adding filters.
